Bibiana Bermudez-Stosberg, M.S.

Bibiana Bermudez-Stosberg has served in the education sector for seventeen years.  Throughout her career, she has served as a bilingual classroom teacher, bilingual instructor, family specialist campus administrator, EL/ bilingual literacy district specialist, and EL/LOTE programs district coordinator while in Austin ISD, North East ISD, and Boerne ISD.

 

Currently, Bibiana Bermudez-Stosberg is a national consultant providing biliteracy teachers and administrators throughout the nation professional development in the areas of biliteracy, EL instructional strategies, instructional coaching, and EL coaching cycle initiatives for all EL programs.

 

Prior, Mrs. Bermudez-Stosberg was the PreK-12 EL programs coordinator and LOTE district coordinator for Boerne Independent School District working in collaborative efforts with the chief instructional officer of teaching and learning, district content coordinators, special education, PreK-12 Teachers, and administrators. 

 

During her tenure, she served on the Literacy and Biliteracy Professional Learning and SLAR Committees at the local level and is an active presenter for biliteracy at the district, regional, state, and national levels.

 

Her educational background includes a political science degree from the University of Texas and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Bilingual Education from the University of Texas-San Antonio.

 

Her professional interests include bilingual education, literacy development in bilingual students, literacy in multilingual/multicultural contexts, educational leadership, and curriculum development.
