Marissa Cisneros-Perez has served in the education sector for fifteen years. Throughout her career, she has been a classroom teacher, K-5 Instructional Coach all contents, K-5 Social Studies Coach, 3-5 Literacy Coach, K-5 Instructional Literacy Coach, Literacy Coordinator, and Adjunct Professor. Currently, she serves as the K-3 District Literacy Coordinator for Edgewood Independent School District.
Her educational background includes degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of the Incarnate Word, a Master of Arts in Reading from St. Mary’s University, along with certifications as a Master Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist.
Her professional interests include literacy development, educational leadership, and curriculum development. She has a passion for Children’s Literature and fostering a love of reading in ALL readers.
