Veronica Vead has been in the field for 10 years as a dedicated educator. Her teaching experiences span from working in both North Carolina and Texas in both primary and upper grades.
During her time in North Carolina, Mrs. Vead assisted in spearheading the Dual Language Immersion Program and provided an English content curriculum to over 45 students as a kindergarten teacher. She was an active member of several campus committees in addition to serving as a community volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
While in Texas, Mrs. Vead has served as a physical educator, dyslexia facilitator, science facilitator, and third-grade inclusion teacher. She also provided educational services to the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Servies: Division of the Blind.
She is currently a fourth-grade teacher with Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas providing online/remote learning to her students while serving on her campus technology committee.
Mrs. Vead is an active presenter for local, state, and national conferences and is the recipient of multiple grants geared towards expanding educational and literacy experiences for students and their families.
Her efforts have been recognized on campus, district, and state levels including the honor of being named a state semifinalist of the H.E.B. Excellence in Education, Rising Star Award (elementary category).
Veronica’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Literacy and a Master of Science in Educational Technology. She is currently pursuing an additional degree as an Educational Diagnostician.
Her professional interests include educational technology, online/hybrid student learning, literacy motivation, and educational assessments and evaluations.
